Hey girl hey. And boy.
As you may know, today was boxing day and although I’ve made this second list back when I made my first one last summer, today helped me reinforce all the struggles once again. Shopping can bring you great finds (I bought a pair of running shoes for $17 today) but can sometimes be very frustrating. πΒ Here are 7 more shopping struggles almost every shopper can relate to. Let’s get starteddd.
1. Signing Up For Reward Points and Discounts
You know those cashiers at every store that tell you about a free sign-up or coupon code. Well at first, it may sound great but when you’re in a line and your phone is taking forever to load the link they send, then it gets annoying. πΒ And you can’t just say never mind because then it would’ve been a waste of their time. So you’re basically just stuck there trying to fill out a bunch of information for 10 percent off. πΒ Did this happen to anyone else? No? Okay.
2. Rips & Cut-Outs
Don’t. even. get. me. started. πΒ I literally cannot with ripped jeans and ripped sweaters anymore. Please give me good quality clothing and I’ll cut it myself. I don’t care about the trends – leave me and my posh life alone. πΒ Seriously, if this was a thing a couple years ago, everyone would be like – “how’d that get ripped?” It used to look unfortunate going out with ripped clothes but now it’s a trend? Noo thank you – as IF I’m going to buy this ripped sweater for $60.
3. When The Clothes You Wanted Don’t Have Your Size
I haven’t experienced this today but it happened when picking out clothes for my sister. Seriously though, why can’t clothes just replenish themselves? Sizes must be there at all tiiimes. πΒ This sucks especially when there’s a sale rack and your size only appears in the ugliest pants.
4. Fake Pockets In Jeans
Ugh I don’t get this at. all. To be a pocket or NOT to be a pocket.πΒ There’s no in between.
5. See-Through Clothes
I know some people actually like this but as a hijabi, I’d really prefer if no one can see my bra and underwear through my clothes. That’s the point of me wearing clothes to begin with! πΒ Plus, if it’s see-through, then it’s usually not good quality so thank you, next.
6. Super Long Lines
THIS WAS THE CASE TODAY! If I walk in to a store, and there’s a long line, you best believe that I’m walking right back to where I came from. I cannot handle long lines because I’m claustrophobic and ugh why is everyone in here?!π
7. Changing Room Paranoia
I feel like I can name ten struggles within this one but seriously! Why can Burj Khalifa fit between the door and the floor? πΒ I’m sure everyone can see me changing like please! And don’t even get me started on the curtained changing rooms. I feel like someone will just open the curtain out of nowhere like ugh I’m so paranoid! Sometimes changing rooms don’t have locks at all and in H&M and Bluenotes, boys and girls changing rooms are mixed like come again? Just no. π
Anddd that’s all for today’s post.
Do you relate to these struggles?
Any more to add to the list?
Did you go Boxing Day shopping?
Iβll see you guys in my next post.

Yas girl! Struggles #3, 4, and 5 are meπ

OMG this is so accurate! Fake pockets are even worse! Like really! π€¦ββοΈ
In addition to your list,
1- Turning around a perfect looking dress only to find out itβs backless.
2- Struggling to work out my own size even is, because it seems to vary in different shops.
3- The constant staring of people. Which I feel is very annoying sometimes. π

Thank you! Ughh ikr like who even invented them? π GIRL YES like can I please have a full back? Ikkkk this happens to me with shoe size too! I don’t get much staring at me but that would be annoying. Thank you for reading and adding to the list!

Gah, see-through clothes!! Like, noooo thank you. Or worse, the ones that come with horrible neon leopard print bras to ‘match’ i.e. show off, like ew.
I hate clothes with cringey messages, like “I lost my number, can I have yours?” and “I’m so lazy”. I might actually be a complete potato, but I’m not about to put it on a shirt.
Great posy!

Ikrrr like no thanks! Omg hahahhaha no way Ill pass on that one. π Really? I love graphic tees sometimes but ew cringe messages are no. I used to love graphic tees when I was younger and idk if I just wanted people to look at me more often hahah but now I just stick to plain or designs. Hahahahahahaha true π Neat commy!!

Omg the fake pockets tho. First of all, pockets in girls clothing just generally suck. Then they bring in fake pockets. Like I have this jeans which costed A LOT and it has 4 , FOUR fake pockets. I mean, come on man! The only reason I bought that was because I looked good in it and my dad told that’s the only thing he’ll buy for me cuz I have way too many tops but literally 2 jeansπ

I. Can. Not. With. Them. I know righttt like only the back pockets work but you can’t sit and ugh can I have some men’s jeans please? OMG 4 πππ So convenient like who even thought fake pockets would be a good idea? Hahahah same but I love shopping for tops because I usually have my pants plain. Thanks for reading!

I really really REALLY donβt like curtained dressing rooms!!! That doesnβt make sense to me at all, like are the stores really saving on the cost of some doors while sacrificing my comfort? π and yeah, those stalls where the door is so high that someone could crawl right under. ππΌ
(I HAD A LITTLE KID CRAWL INTO MY CHANGING ROOM ONE TIME. He peeked in and had the creepiest grin on his face π³ but he didnβt even see me naked, I covered up when I saw him coming!)

Hahahha it so can! I don’t really go online shopping just because I don’t know how it’ll turn out and if it’ll fit so shopping in person is probably the safest plus I like to actually be out instead of behind the screen but other than that, it can be so much easier!

Shopping is one hella struggle… I really hate going into the dressing room, even if there’s a lock in the door I keep checking if it’s locked or if there’s any camera above meβ π I swear it’s scary in there

Gurl I haven’t seen any messages and posts from you ππ
It’s actually creepy but basically you knew where I lived and I was about to go to this concert for my siblings and you were like see you there. I was so weirded out and then a bunch of dinosaurs started chasing me up the hill and I was like why is Alexa coming all the way from England just to stalk me? And turns out your parents passed away and you were going insane so you created this robot arm for artificial reproduction. I DON’T KNOW EITHER! But yeah it was very sketchy and I was like k Alexa’s on to something. π
