January Wrappers

Hey girl hey. And boy.

*Don’t say it.*

*Don’t say it.*

Hope everyone had an amazing first month of 2019!

That still doesn’t give you an excuse to comment happy new year mwahah. πŸ˜‚

I have a feeling that this is going to be a short wrap up but we’ll see. This month was filled with exams and final projects wrapping up first semester. I also watched so much more movies which is definitely a sign of procrastinating. πŸ˜‚Β As usual, if you haven’t seen my last wrapper post, click here.Β Skim through to what interests you and let’s get starteddd.

School

Like I said, lots of exam preparation and final projects but I’ll start with business. Our final project was to create a website about the course and it was kind of easy because now I know how to operate one. My laptop didn’t update wordpress yet so when I opened the new account for school, this whole format with blocks came up like what?!!πŸ˜‚ I hate it so much and I’m so glad I still have the old version. I also got chosen by my teacher to present my work for parents who are asking about the course. It was so nerve-wracking but it went pretty well!

For my geography project, we had to design a new city and I made a video for it. My teacher loved it and I ended up getting a really good mark which I’m very happy with. It was so last minute though because we had a week to do it and I only started filming the day before and had to edit during periods and lunch. We presented in little groups and oh my the group I had was that one girl I have all my classes with and her friend. They were chewing gum and taking selfies during me asking about her presentation like okay? I can’t deal with my generation y’all. πŸ˜‚

this is me in the past

We also had drama performances which omggg were a total mess. We made it super complicated on ourselves and while everyone had storylines like “don’t bully” or “everyone is beautiful”, we were here with a government crisis and a missing mom. πŸ˜‚Β It was crazy and we barely had any time. I thought everyone memorized their lines for the other scenes but during rehearsal, everyone just improvised. It was really fun but wow it was really sloppy and I’m sure everyone fell asleep. AND the bell rang through it. Lesson learned guys: keep. things. simple.

I also got to visit the new school I’ll be going to next year because I was selling the product with my friend who currently goes there for that business program. We only got one customer but half the time I was touring the school and aah there’s so many new courses. I made a few friends and the atmosphere seems nicer. I really hope this school works out next year.

Speaking of getting to know schools, I’ve been going around my current school and asking teachers questions for my Blank Answer series. I’m still not done asking but I met my future math teacher and a couple of new teachers. Call me a teacher’s pet all you want but teachers are the closest thing I have to my mental age in this school so give me a break. πŸ˜‚

grandma bayance has made an entrance

Finally, there were exams which didn’t go too bad. My business one was easy, my drama one was easy too but I took a million extra papers. Overall, on all of them it went pretty smoothly EXCEPT geography. I thought I’d do really well but we get to mapping questions and suddenly my brain shuts off. What is the elevation? Pizza. What are the intervals? Turkish husbands. πŸ˜‚ Like I kid you not – I literally had to guesss. I never guesss. I’ll let you know how my marks turn out but I’m expecting a big fat drop for geography.

And yeah, that’s about it. I’m looking forward to my new semesters and aah the poetry contest and report cards are coming up soon. Next month’s wrappers will be more juicy if that’s even a word. πŸ˜‚

Life

davGuysss I can finally cook. My uncle got us this airfryer and now I can make fries without burning the house down! And I won’t get fat in 0.2 seconds! You better be clapping for me.

My new years resolutions have been going pretty well. I’ve been going to the gym more often but definitely not 3 times a week. πŸ˜‚Β And I haven’t fully trained in a long time so that was a flop.

We had a family gathering at a turkish restaurant and everyone there spoke turkish like it was actually my dream place. Plus, the food was so good. It had a long wait time but I’m definitely coming back to look for a turkish huband in the future. πŸ˜‚

There was an emotional intelligence training going on for library volunteers right before auditions so I signed up and I’m so glad I did. It helped me understand why we get triggered and how to step back and chill. There was so much neuroscience involved but also understanding the outside too. The speakers were so talented and it was very engaging too. In the last half our, we had to pick someone in the room of a different generation and walk around for half an hour. I picked this sweet senior and it was so cool learning about her life and sharing some of mine too. After we finished, I saw one of the ladies before the audition and I asked her about our city for my geography project and she was such a funny and sweet lady. Why do I connect with adults and seniors more, you ask? Because I’m a grandma.

The audition went pretty smoothly. I read a few lines but they could only pick two so this girl came out and gave me this sweet talk that clearly meant you suck and we don’t want you in our show. JUST KIDDING she was actually super nice and said I was talented but this show wouldn’t fit my skills too much. So yeah, but at least I signed up for that training above so that I had something useful that day.

I caught up with an old friend that moved to Nova Scotia. I’m so glad I got her number again because we haven’t talked in years and we had such a long conversation. I’m going to make a goal to call my friends more often because I feel like we all lack that social skill sometimes with all the social media nowadays.

I did a bit of shopping and got 3 casual dresses for the winter (and they had great prices too)! One is navy, the other one is camo and the last one is grey which I’ll show in the fav outfits section because it’s currently in the laundry.

I watched 4 movies this month:

Brooklyn: Such a cute and vintage movieee! It literally made me cry too. Ugh I love Tony so freaking much he’s so awkward and cute and can I marry him? I hate that other guy but I’m glad she chose Tony in the end. And can we talk about the 1900s?! Fashion has changed so much like can we bring back more long coats and dresses? Loved this movie and Saoirse is so pretty!

Love, Rosie: I. LOVED. THIS. MOVIE. First of all, Sam Claflin? I’m sold. Second, there were so many lessons in this movie aah. It just reminded me of why certain things have been forbidden in religion and ugh my heart literally ached for both of them. I’m soo happy for Rosie for not aborting the baby. I know it’s a sensitive subject but she ended up doing the best she could for her little girl and ugh I just love this movie. I lost hope for a happy ending at some point but I’m so happy there was!

Image result for love rosie gif

Gifted:Β I actually watched this movie before but it’s soo good so I watched it with my sister again. It’s humorous and sad at times but I’m living for Mary’s relationship with her uncle. Now I want to learn that military algorithm for multiplication.

The Circle: I mainly watched this for Emma Watson and it was pretty good. I just didn’t like the ending and there wasn’t much depth to it so it definitely wasn’t my favourite. BUT UGH MERCER DESERVED BETTERRR!

What didn’t go so well is that I only read one book. Like I usually read more?

sdr

In Case You Missed It was pretty good but not that good at the same time. The girl was super bratty and everything just didn’t flow too well in my head. I loved Noah but I wasn’t too attached to the characters like I usually am. I read a book like this before called Antisocial so maybe that’s why I didn’t like it too much but I don’t know.

Dreams

Guyyyyys my brain stopped generating dreams. Like I literally had 0.2.

  • I asked a friend why she didn’t pray and turns out she was grieving over a family member.
  • This choir teacher wanted me to join choir so bad but I couldn’t sing for the life of me in that dream.
  • I kept seeing guys from my old school and it brought me a lot of heartache in the dream? This happened in 3 dreams.
  • I met up with Natalie and Alexa in the mosque and we had a choo choo train back to my house. Alexa had black hair this time and I don’t remember her face but I remember Natalie’s and it’s based off what I’ve already seen so like her hair was the same and she had glasses and green eyes. Natalie, do you have green eyes? πŸ˜‚

I don’t know what my brain is doing either.

Blogging

Blogging went way better than I expected! I expected to make 4 posts and ended up making 9 that I’m happy with. Here are two guest posts I wrote:

Blog Post Of The Month

This is hard because I had a few that I liked but My All Time Favourite TV ShowsΒ brought back so much nostalgia and it took me a couple days to gather all the summaries. It just reminded me of the old days where I would sit and watch turkish dramas with my fam and ah, I loved writing it.

January’s Most Popular Post

There was so much response on myΒ Let’s Get Real: BackbitingΒ post and it was one of those that I sat down to write after a situation so I’m really happy you all enjoyed it. I will definitely make more of these heavier posts where we sit down and get real together.

About dreams, I had a nightmare last night. I got detention from my French teacher. It was horrible, and I was so relieved when I woke up, because I’ve never gotten detention in my life.
Anyway, I hope you have a great February!

School’s goooood. I start a new semester tomorrow.
Life is eh. Not too great, tbh. But I’m forcing myself to get better.

    Happy February, Bay!!
OMG, the grandma gif is ANCIENT now, isn’t it?? I feel really old now…That might just be because I turned thirteen last month and as people keep telling me, that’ll do it to you.
I kind of just gave up doing wrap-up posts because a) I could never make them as awesome as yours and b) I never had anything interesting to say. But maybe I should just link to yours every month and be like, ”Read Bayance’s wrappers because hers are fabulous enough to make up for my lack of one!”
I know I say this eeeeeevvverrry month but I love these posts so much and asdfghjkoertyhujk.

Ahh, thanks! OH AND GUESS WHAT! I finally tried a Taki today and now I must never eat one again or I’ll completely blow my diet and become even more of a potato, but I totally thought of you and smiled as I ate it πŸ™‚ And woah, that was so off topic, but for some reason my inner six year old wanted to tell you, lol.

OMG YES GURLLL but don’t eat more of that hot version because apparently it contains silicon and I don’t trust it anymore after my sister’s incident. BUT I tried the fajita one a few weeks ago and loved it. Gurll thank youu!! And i know I ruined your diet but if I find any pointe shoes, I’m gonna think of how you made your toes miserable. πŸ˜‚ You better make a tutorial on how to put them on and the side effects of this terrible invention. πŸ˜‚

Ahhh, girl, that’s a great idea!! And yesss, I’m doubling up my foot damage because now I also have to dance in these black high heels and just owwww….
