Hey girl hey. And boy.
I know I said I’m not a beauty or fashion guru but one or two posts won’t hurt, right? 😂 So a few weeks ago, I went to Sephora for like the first time to get lipstick for an event I had the following week. I took forever picking out the right pink shade. I’m pretty sure the Sephora workers were tired of refilling the makeup remover section in the testers. I finally settled on Decollete 15 by the Sephora collection. In my last makeup-related post, L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara Review, I mentioned I’ll do mini reviews every time I purchase anything new (because I rarely do) so here we go again.
*disclaimer: I made this post last summer and planned to post it when I was insanely busy but then I realized I have a few future makeup posts in mind and I wanted to include variety in every month so here you go!*
Shade: Okay I thought this had a name but turns out it’s just Decollete R15 which is described as warm pinkish beige.
Price: $16 (literally the cheapest price you’ll find in Sephora but I got a free box so that’s nice)
Simple but nice.
The tExTuRe of this is actually amazing. It’s really smooth and easy to apply.
I’ve worn this part day so I’m not really sure but it looked the same 4 hours after applying it and it doesn’t smudge (woo!)
Seeing how pigmented this shade is, I’m really surprised by how easy it is to remove. Maybe it’s the makeup remover I’m using but even when I tried the sample in Sephora, it returned to my natural tone faster than the other shades. There was this one lipstick I did a swatch of and it stayed for TWO DAYS. I literally tried everything to take it off but nothing worked. Thankfully, this lipstick is way better.
Would I recommend it?
Yassss. The colour’s a little flashy/bold but it’s a lot more neutral than other pink colours. And considering the easy removal and “longlastingness” (sorry I suck at being a beauty guru), I’d definitely recommend it.
Don’t worry guys, I won’t go through a review for each one but Sephora offers a free birthday box each year on your birthday. It was June when I went and my birthday was in May but they gave it to me anyway. 😂 It includes:
- Sample-sized lipstick
- Sample-sized lip crayon
- Lip balm + lip scrub
I haven’t tried the lip balm and lip scrub but I LOVE the lip liner. The colour is amazing! I’m not a huge fan of the brown lipstick but IT SMELLS/TASTES LIKE A TOOTSIE ROLL! 😂😂 Sorry guys but if all lip products tasted like food, I’ll probably buy the whole store. 😂 Anyways, the box actually has cool products so you should go into Sephora today and say your birthday is in July. 😂
Now I was going to do a try-on but I looked like a Covergirl try-hard so here are the swatches.
Anddd that’s all for today.
Have you tried Sephora’s Rouge Collection?
Have you received the birthday beauty box?
Do you like Sephora?
I’ll see you all in my next post.
