Hey girl hey. And boy.
I don’t know about you but American Girl Dolls freak the heck out of me. Their eyes are huge and stare into your soul at night and it doesn’t help that so many horror movies were inspired by dolls. Ever since I started blogging, I started noticing a different type of blogging niche. Not fashion, not beauty, not lifestyle…but dolls. At first, I was super creeped out but after I started reading some of them, they’re almost similar to lifestyle just sometimes with a story behind them. Today’s post is inspired by multiple doll bloggers but my main inspos are going to be Natalie @ AG Spot and Sam @ H.E.A.D. actually going to be a Liebster Award but with a bunch of doll pictures in between. Today’s also my last day of Inspired By for the week but I might continue the last 4 next week or next month. We’ll see. And finally, thank you to the amazing Jade who nominated me for the Liebster Award. Let’s get starteddd.
P.S. This is my sister’s doll (not an AG) and she called her Chloe.
1. Who is your inspiration?
Aaah I draw inspiration from all over the place. First and foremost, I’m trying to gather knowledge on prophet Muhammad’s biography and other prophets like Jonah, Moses, Abraham..etc because they’re like the ultimate role models but human too. But in terms of other aspects of life, Noor Tagouri inspires me and a lot of businesswomen and entrepreneurs inspire me too. My mom is also a huge inspiration and I like to learn from my older brothers and the friends I surround myself with (*cough*rzan*cough). And a bunch of you guys because you truly are amazing and dedicated bloggers!!
2. Who is your best friend?
I actually have many but my OG is probably Raya (I mentioned her in a few posts in the past). I have a squad from when I was in UAE and we’re all still best friends (but the closest one is probably Iman) and finally here I also have a squad of amazing best friends but the closest ones are Rzan and Muzna. And obviously, my siblings are my day 1’s.
3. Do you love where you live now?
Yes, I do! It’s a plain city but I love the calm atmosphere. I love places with more culture like my hometown but I’m still content with it.
4. Who do you watch on YouTube?
Literally everything in my recommended. I watch a lot of Jubilee, political debates, Dhar Mann, Jessi Vee, Colleen Ballinger and basically a combination of everythinggg.
5. Your opinion on birds?
LOL interesting question. I love birds. We live a little further from downtown so there’s so much more birds here and I just love the sound of them chirping when I wake up. It reminds me that there’s a bright new day ahead. The different types are so cool and omg geese with their ducklings are the cutest (#canadiantingz;))
6. Would you ever do a blogging meet up?
Omg yesss. If there was BlogCon or something like that near me and you guys came, I would definitely go. But I have no idea if the demographics work out because you guys are all over the world and it would be kind of weird to go from city to city to see one person. Watch me do that lool.
Also, just a few seconds to acknowledge the fact that we teenagers call everything happy “creepy”. Like we’d take anyone smiling and then say hahaha mood I’m dead inside like aah what have we become? A kid would look at this picture and be like she’s so pretty and happy and here I am making a horror movie out of the smiley face emoji. Anyways.
7. Your current favourite song?
I’m not listening to any songs at the moment but Hostage was the most recent favourite.
8. Your least favourite genre of music?
I only have one favourite which is pop. And I don’t mind Taylor Swift country. But heavy metal and rap is a no no for me.
Dolls need to be more flexibleeee.
9. Apple or Samsung?
I have an Android that isn’t Samsung but Samsung is better than Apple in my opinion. Apple is overrated and their products are so fragile because they want you to keep spending. It’s a whole game of consumerism that everyone is caught up in and Android is just way more durable and practical. But idk that’s just my tea on it.
10. What was your first phone?
A nokia smartphone when I was 11. But the year later I got a nokia mobile hand me down from my grandma so I kind of went back in time there. I remember I was reflecting about how technology is taking over childhood so I ended up throwing the smartphone away. Kind of dumb to throw it out but it’s fine – I felt liberated at the moment haha.
This was supposed to be throwing the jacket away for Spring (I’m so cheesy) but here we are throwing phones away after writing some weird spoken word rants.
11. Who was your first crush?
Hahah I was telling a blogging friend this the other day and I wrote it in my My Awkward Crush Stories post but when I was in kindergarten, I had a crush on this french guy with blonde hair and blue eyes. Literally every girl had a crush on him too so when it was his last day before heading back to France, everyone got him different presents. I gave him my precious alphabet book and now I regret life decisions. Raya told me about this one guy in her school who had the same physical features, same name and same hometown but she didn’t. want. to. ask. about. my. alphabet. book. 😤 Like yeah it’s sad that he left but I want my alphabet book back.
Anddd that’s all for today. I’m going to be rebellious and not ask any new questions because this is a half series half award post so I’ll do half the work. 😂 If any of you wanted to be nominated, just answer the same questions I did and we can be twiiins.
Before we conclude, I want to thank Jade for nominating me and to Natalie and Sam for inspiring today’s post. Thank you for making me look like a complete fool in front of my neighbours. They. were. freaked. 😂 Tell me how you do it.
Do you have dolls?
Opinion on dolls? Creepy? Gorgeous?
Answer one of the questions I got asked?
Favourite doll photo out of all these? (my fav is the last one #doublechintingz)
I’ll see you all in my next post.
